Hi there,

following a few words about my year 2014 - I'm not sure if that interests anyone at all. ;-) However ... with some possible activity to go but none where I would have liked to be I finally stayed the last turn of the year on my own, outside in my car. I let the year pass in review - my finished studies in April, some personal matters and, of course, the few travels I did in 2013, too (Spain & Portugal, United Kingdom and the Alps). I decided to spend a part of the next year as I started it – on the road / on travel. And I did. Regardless of my full-time position I fortunately was able to travel on my own for almost five months - New Zealand in April, United Kingdom and Ireland in May and the United States and Canada from the beginning of September until end of November - not staying one night under a roof.

I've been to a lot of great places, have witnessed and photographed some wonderful nature sceneries and have met some really nice guys. Beside that, I enjoyed the summer in Germany (having barbecue, go swimming and watching sunsets), decided to go back to University in 2015 and, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to my two best friends (former work colleagues) who went on travel and to study abroad.

The end of the year is fast approaching and I might stay the turn of a year once again on my own – maybe this time in my tent in the French Alps. I’m looking forward to travel in 2015 to Patagonia, the inner area of Iceland and maybe on a canoe trip through no man’s land – always with Great Britain and especially the French Alps back in my mind. We'll see how much I want to travel and how much I can travel (because of my job and the possible academic studies end of 2015).

Greetings,

Sven

Not only do you have some fantastic photographs, but I love the emotion you put towards your photography. Besides scrolling through your gallery in awe, I also just went through an interview you did, because I love seeing into the minds of inspirational others.

I've recently come back from Scotland, and I can really relate with your words. There's nothing quite like being in a beautiful location and doing your utmost to capture everything that makes it up. Experiencing the beauty in nature is incomparable to anything else.

I also admire how you're only a couple years older than myself and already creating some of the most beautiful landscape shots I've ever seen!

(P.S. - I would not try reduce the importance of photography in your life - you're doing a fantastic job with it, I would say keep it up because you are a true inspiration to others! I'm honestly surprised you just have 3000 watchers... you deserve MANY more.)
